Ezigerman - Frequently Asked Questions
PLEASE NOTE: If your question is not answered here please visit our contact page to send us your question.
(Q) Which level is ezigerman intended for?
(A) Absolute beginner to intermediate level. If you already speak conversational German, then ezigerman would not satisfy you.
(Q) Do I need an internet connection for ezigerman?
(A) Yes. This is an entirely online training course.
(Q) Why do the audio and video take such a long time to load?
(A) Each video is roughly around 10 megabytes in size and each audio around 2-3mb. The speed of your internet connection would be the first thing to consider. After starting the video, try pausing it to allow time to download. Another suggestion is to make sure you are not downloading other media at the same time, this should speed up the experience of watching and listening to ezigerman.com lessons.
If you use Internet Explorer as your main browser, this browser loads more of the video in a buffer before it plays. If this is an issue, we recommend that you download and install Mozilla Firefox and use this as your main browser. You can download and view installation instructions from the main website (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/).
(Q) Why can't I view the video, audio and quiz applications?
(A) You need Adobe Flash Player to view our lessons. Try downloading the latest flash player from the following address (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/).
If doing the above does not solve the problem, make sure that you have javascript turned on. Javascript is turn on by default in most browsers. But if you have turned it off in the past and cannot remember how to enable it use the following links.

(Q) Can I change my membership login and password?
(A) It is not possible to change your login username, but you can change your password anytime by going to the following link : Change Password
(Q) How do we know when a lesson has been added or updated?
(A) On the members page at the bottom you will see a black box. This box will list all the latest changes. We use twitter to keep you updated to these changes, so you are welcome to follow us.
(Q) Do Rita, Vanessa and Tristan look like their cartoon characters?
(A) Rita and Vanessa, Yes. Tristan, NO.
(Q) Does it really only take 30 days to complete?
(A) We suggest that an absolute beginner spend at least 15 minutes concentrated training in the morning and 15 minutes reviewing in the evening. This will give you 15 hours of German exposure in a 30 day period, enough to complete the course. With our specialized teaching method, you will make leaps and bounds in your German language, as long as you make a daily effort.
(Q) Why do you offer one years access?
(A) We understand that many people enjoy going back to the course often, in fact we recommend it. This is not a book or a CD, this is an online course that will be regularly updated. You will be able to access the course and new material for the duration of one year.
(Q) Do the lessons work on an iPad?
(A) At this stage no. You need a Flash enabled browser which is not available on the iPad.
